Immediate Action Required: Unsafe Ride, Rash Driving & Driver’s

I am lodging a serious complaint against one of your riders whose behavior was not only reckless and illegal but also highly disrespectful and dangerous.

During my recent ride, the rider:

Jumped multiple red signals
Drove in the wrong direction on a one-way road
Did not provide a helmet to me, the pillion rider
Argued arrogantly when I raised a genuine safety concern
At one point, he deliberately rode into oncoming traffic during a red signal. When I asked him why he was putting our lives at risk, he aggressively replied:

“What’s your problem? Why are you telling me how to drive? This is the right way.”

When I calmly told him I wasn’t in a hurry and preferred safe driving, he sarcastically responded:

“If you’re not in a hurry, what should I do? I have time and patience.”

This behavior is absolutely unprofessional, irresponsible, and unacceptable. It shows a complete disregard for passenger safety and traffic laws. If this rider continues to operate under your platform, it's only a matter of time before a serious accident occurs.

I demand that you take immediate disciplinary action against this rider and investigate this incident thoroughly. I also expect a formal acknowledgment and explanation from your side on what steps will be taken.

I am ready to share the ride details, time, and any further information required.

If such behavior continues to be tolerated, I will be forced to escalate this issue to higher authorities, including traffic enforcement and consumer grievance platforms.

Captain couldn't navigate to drop location

So I booked a ride, the captain couldn't reach the drop location, he literally has one job, to just follow the map and he can't even do that, he called me again and again, still didn't come to the location moreover, the ride which was supposed to arrive in 7 min. Took 30 min. , and the ironical part is that the captain has 5 star rating... A clean 5 star!!! Thankyou so much for getting me late, and ruining my day, keep it up with your f*cked up service.

Behavior

One of the rapido person whom I met around 1 year back,takes office parcel rides and charges double amount than rapido. When I refused him to pay the excess amount he started arguing and said what you want to do you do. He first meets new customers and talks with then regarding the rides. He never goes through rapido. Whenever I saw him, his rapido phone rings but never responds to it.

Please be careful with this type of people and don't belive them.

Dear rapido, today i was booked a cab a driver comes and said due to rain i need more fare charge but we denied then he was angry and threw out my pregnant wife and me from his car. Then we told him i left a bag in your car but he came from the car and start abusing said i am local from gaon garoli. After this we are going in trauma. After that i was check my rapido accout to check his vehichle no for police complaint but car no or driver contact no is not available kindly return my bag i have many valuable things in my bag also have doctors papers and my wife’s purse.is rapido cover up his goons ??? Drop off at wrong location

I had booked an auto from vivekanand chowk kothrud to spice garden MIT college but the driver drops us at a wrong location.The app was showing a different and we had put a different location so it seems to be the apps problem.This made me pay the amount decided for the location I was suppose to go but we were stranded on a random road.

I have booked rapido various times and everytime the registered vehicle number was not same and when I asked them why every rapido bike have different number than registered vehicle number, they misbehaved, I am a girl, everytime I book rapido i felt insecure about my safety. Today (07-June-2025) I have booked Rapido at 10.30 to 10.45 as I was sick and I am with my family Mr.Mohan P (Vehicle no:TN12BE8995) accepted the request but when I call him he said he was stuck in hug traffic and he will be late by 15 min when I update the message in rapido chat box saying I am in location, immediately got call from rapido number and he said you cancel the trip and pay rs100 to running auto. Did rapido advertise for other services is it there business policy.
Note when captain is responsible for cancellation how the customer is liable for cancellation charges? Hope rapido team will take this msg as concerned and my account should not be debited....

I booked a ride with the correct address, but the driver didn’t come to the right gate and asked me to go to his location. Despite having a leg injury, I went there, yet Rapido charged me extra. They still haven’t resolved the issue, and I’ve lost faith in Rapido.

URGENT AND SERIOUS COMPLAINT – Drunk, Abusive, Threatening Rapid

I am writing to report an absolutely shocking and traumatic incident that occurred during a Rapido taxi booking. This was not merely poor service — it was a deliberate, threatening, and potentially criminal act that endangered the lives of multiple people, including women and a one-month-old infant.

The driver marked “Arrived” on the app despite being nowhere near the pickup point. After waiting for 5–6 minutes, he showed up — but instead of stopping at the correct location, he stopped on the opposite side of a busy, high-speed road, and refused to come to the actual pickup point, even when repeatedly asked.

This forced us to risk our safety and cross a dangerously busy road. I was traveling with my family and my friend’s family, which included three women and a one-month-old baby. The safety of our loved ones was compromised from the start.

When we finally reached the driver on the opposite side:

He immediately took the ride OTP and entered it into the app.

Only after entering the OTP in the mobile app, he demanded extra cash for the ride.

When we refused to pay the illegal demand, he became extremely aggressive, started shouting, hurling verbal abuse, and threatening me and my family, including the women present.

His behavior was erratic and violent, and it was clear he was under the influence of alcohol. What’s even more outrageous is that within 2–3 minutes of this confrontation — without even moving the vehicle an inch — he marked the trip as “Completed” in the app, effectively cheating the system and us.

Complaint about worst service in Coimbatore

Today, 6th May 2025, I have tried to book auto as well as auto+through rapido. I was waiting for long time. I Booked around 6 times. Each time the driver asked about the starting and ending points, and asked for extra 30 or 40 rupees. Is it not that when we book a ride, the starting and ending not visible to the drivers. And three of the drivers didn't even start from where they were. They were ready after bargaining with the customer, otherwise refused and cancelled the trip. It's literally worst experience happened today. Rapido, sorry to say, I'll discourage my friends and others to not to use rapido, if same is repeated again.

I am extremely disappointed

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my recent experience on Rapido. I added Rs. 500 to my Rapido wallet, hoping for a smooth and convenient experience. But to my shock, I am unable to use this money to purchase metro tickets or make bookings. It’s really upsetting and unfair.

Why even offer a wallet option if users can't use their own money when they need it the most? This is not just inconvenient, it's honestly very disappointing. I feel helpless and a bit angry—this is not what I expected from a trusted platform like Rapido.

Please fix this issue immediately. Do something so I can use my wallet money to purchase metro tickets as intended. If not, then kindly refund the entire amount back to my account. It’s not just about the money, it’s about the trust I placed in your service.

Paid Rs 1000 Extra (UPI + CASH)

I took a Rapido Cab ride from HSR Layout to Kempegowda International Airport Banglore on 17th April .
Before start of the ride , The driver asked for additional rs Hundred , to which I did agree a I was travelling with Family So to our agreement , I was supposed to pay Rs NINE Hundred for the ride.
Post reaching Airport , I initiated a UPI transaction of Rs NINE Hundred using GPay But The transaction went on to pending state.
Hence I paid by CASH Rs THOUSAND , for which the driver was supposed to return me Rupees Hundred in exchange as the total ride cost was Nine Hundres.
But the driver said he did NOT have any change , so he left with all the Money . During this period , The driver was very rude in his behavior , and was acting to NOT knowing HINDI.
Now , The UPI Transaction of Rs NINE Hundred which I initiated , was successfully completed and paid on 19th April .
So , in this way , I ended up paying Rs 1900 as a whole of the 17th April Ride.
I even raised a request to the Driver for returning back the extra Money , to which he doesn't care to respond back
So , his is how I was kind of cheated for THOUSAND Rupees by Rapido/its Driver.

I booked a ride 3 hours ago. The Driver did not turn up and nor did he cancel the ride. He still hasn't cancelled the ride. how do i book another ride on rapido. These drivers are doing that so often these days. The other day i got late at my workplace because of the same behaviour of one of your so called captains and was marked absent. The driver's name is Narendra singh Rajput. His cab is K10 Alto. RJ14 TF 6460. The app shows he is 40 minutes away as I have not cancelled the ride and will not do so. I would rather book on Ola or Uber then get harassed by some captain at Rapido

Rapido ride is really worst service. Driver charged always extra money on every ride. Even if babies carry with you will consider as one member. And whatever charge shown to you is not matched with driver's application they are roaming like looters in society. If you are alone don't use rapido for girls especially.

Such bad service by rapido

I couriered a parcel and the rider asked me to pay the amount and I did after sometime I noticed that same amount was also deducted from my simpl account I have been typing to reach their customer service but they're not interested in replying and solving query also I tried to contact simpl they denied the refund I'm unable to attach file oj rapido to show them proof I have even sent them email but there's no response from their side

He extremely extremely rude from the start, telling us sit like this or not to sit like that. We were not even sitting in an uncomfortable way. Actually rude is a very small word for such worst person.
It was only me, a female passenger at the end to leave. And He passed a comment "Harkate to dekho apni" like what the f#ck was that. Does this person know me personally to pass such comments. I was so much polite to him at first.
Not just this he was rude with many things also.
I literally wanted to fight back but was alone and I was concerned about my safety who knows what could this person do.
This person was young but his mind was extremely extremely narrow. His way of talking extremely rude.
I want him to be banned by every cab company. I request rapido to ban him so that he cannot harras anyone anymore. Why keep such person associated with the company which can damage the company's reputation.

Driver demanded extra payment

For my travel on 28 Feb 2025 for a fare of Rs 257 driver demanded Rs 290, which i paid thru Gpay. I have raised complaint on your Rapido App and as a proof was asked to forward Gpay bill as screenshot as an attachment by clicking the clip icon. But the clip icon for attaching files does not work and also forwarded Gpay receipt thru the email which i was provided. But was annoyed that even the email messages does not work. All the mails sent is getting reverted back to me. Only way to prove is to send thru WhatsApp if I am provided with the same. Rapido should have Whatapp number thru which we could prove. I had fwded the sms sent thru my bank but still you insist only on Gpay receipt. Dont know how else to prove? So sad that you dont rely on customers who want to prove their innocence and by behaving so you are only encouraging your drivers to demand more from customers. You are only believing your drivers and making them more corrupt. Indirectly u are encouraging corruption in society.

The driver charge does extra money

The driver charge does extra money. As we reached a destination the driver asked for the toll money and we had no idea that toll is stopped now and no money is deducted.we realised when we returned back home.he also charged us extra fare to the fare shown in the app.
Trying to connect to customer service but the pathetic service is not resolving my issue.they say they will call back but they don't. We were supposed to pay 711rs. But the driver charged us 776rs.

Worst service

I book auto on 8th Feb in Hyderabad. After sitting in auto, he started demanding more money stating what was shown in app is less. I asked him to stop auto, but he didn't even stop, he told I will not stop and started arguing that I want money. I was with my mother. He drove very roughly and again after reaching destination when I gave money which is already more than what was shown in app. He demanded more than that also and started arguing. he didn't ask either so after covering half distance, he said cancel your booking. When I decline to cancel booking. He cancelled it from his side. I asked him to stop auto, but didn't even listen and also talking on phone most of the time , not driving auto properly. This is my first experience with rapido and extremely worst experience. I will not recommend this to anyone. Worst service.

Driver asking for more money

Today I was travelling from my work place to home. As soon as I got into auto the driver started complaining me that amount showing is really less. Please provide extra amount at the end of the trip. After he dropped me the total amount is 201 but he kept insisting me to pay extra 50. Please note this is for the 3rd time happening with me that these drivers keep asking to pay extra amount. One more thing,the auto drivers they accept the ride and they call and confirm saying that they are coming but after they drop from the call they just cancel the ride. Really horrible services you provide rapido

This is keep you inform that Rapido is now a days good service for a customer but some time Bad behavior driver like asking more and Extra money to the customer and incase if customer don't want to give the driver won't cancel it and ask us to cancel.. Not attending the phone incase if we ask them to cancel. This is so bad for the Rapido Service. I will mentioned the 2 drivers details please take actions as soon as possible. because they boldly told we have to cancel and don't care about the Rapido customers.

I had taken rides through Rapido dated 10th December, 14th December and 16th December. I have not received the order invoice for these rides. Complaint for drunked and misbehaved your company driver

I m routine customer of your rapido. In evening I booked rapido cap driver of this cab named Shri Praveen Kumar came and rudely behaved he was drunned misbehaved with my wife and the board her mean while the ride. Driver told my wife rapido is useless company I am not afraid of complaining rapido cannot take the stern action against me because it is in our policy. We have to friend for this behaviour and misbehave the females by the rapido company. So now you are requestted to do the needful regarding this matter and take assistant action against him.

Inappropriate behaviour of the captain

So recently I was travelling from Pune station and there was alot of traffic so I found a cab driver named Ramdas Janardhan Marakad. He asked me for my drop off location and I gave so. He asked me for the distance and I gave an approx distance and I showed in Google also about the distance and he saw the phone but ignored the distance and told me that he would charge 330 rupees as it was late night I agreed and then after sometime in the ride he saw the distance and it showed 14 kms and after that he started arguing that I should pay him 550 rupees. But I denied and I said that we agreed on 330 rupees so I will pay that much only. And in rapido app it was showing 275 for the same distance. Distance won't change be changing the app for the map but still I agreed for 330 rupees. He argued with me for alot of time then near a petrol station he asked me for the money of petrol. I said I won't pay for the petrol so he said pay for the ride so I paid him for the ride and then he said saying that he will drop me in the middle and stared giving me cuss words. And was about to hit me. I had lifted his hand but then I pushed it away and he was shouting at me. He told I will drop at the location if I pay him more 200 rupees. I said I wont so he started telling me that I he will take me to police and stuff and he said call whomever you want to call and started giving me threats. So just to be safe I got out of the car in the middle. And then took a rikshaw.

I agree I made a mistake by taking a private taxi but as this driver works in rapido I request a strict action against this driver. He can do this with anyone else also. I was a student and this kind of behaviour was done with me. A strict action must be taken against him.

Charges extra for 4 years baby travelling along

Just wanted understand if rapido has invented special rider for small kids. If there is any such rules pls inform the customer we can book auto and travell. My charge was only 57 rupees but the rider charges me 110 rupee when asked about the rate he said because the kid was sitting in between so charged extra, what nonsense is this so dose it mean i have to book seperate bike for 4 years kid. Trip not attended by accepted driver and auto forwarde by driver

I booked a auto of yours on 09.10.2024 at 9.49 am the driver is Kethavath raju, i waited for 10 minutes at our 9.53 am i called him to know whether he will come to for paick up me or not he said where to go i told somjiguda, is he said ok and kept his phone. after two minutes i called once again he lifted phone and same is asked him he told i wont come to that place and i cancel the trip he told me. i fired him. but he did not cancelled the called, i looked at my mobile after half a hour that he forwarded the same to tow more auto drivers, the one auto driver called me, i did look at my mobile because i am travelling to my office. at around i saw my mobile a couple of called received and i called him what is the matter. he said you have book the auto i am waiting here. i told him, this booking is forwarded by your collogue driver where he not accepted my trip and i am not responsible for this trip. the new trip driver Mr. brarath chocky, said its not fault and there is no option for me to cancel. you may charge Rs.110/- after 10 minutes and it will cancel automatically by our ccs.
this is for your information and justify me and take necessary against on the driver Mr. Kethavath Raju in this ragard.

I asked him how much was the fair he said RS 130 .. U Liar Rapido people .. I will file a case in consumer court .. Fraudulent numbers provided for rapido customer services. They call and tell you to download a remote access app to "help you resolve the issue". Rapido itself has the shittiest customer service in the sense that there is no concept of customer service. No one responds. No one calls. No one helps. No issues are resolved.

This is regarding my incentive lost for this week (July 28-Aug 4) I have almost completed around 120 rides with the incentive ammount 1200 should be there.

Aug 3rd, 11 clock I have made subscription for 1000 rs earnings and in subscription terms and conditions, they have mentioned that only daily incentive will not be available once subscription enabled... Now my weekly incentive also stopped for this week.

This is likely to cheat me and I have lost all my trust about rapido captain app.
