Visa extension application closures and delays
My name is Oma Bilkisu from Nigeria. I have been in India since 2015 for medical treatment for son who has chronic kidney disease for the past 11yrs. He had his first kidney transplant here in India in 2010. Unfortunately the transplant failed after 2 yrs and my son has been on three times heamodialysis since. We came to India because my is suffering some complications that my country's hospitals cannot manage. We are here for him to get treated and then get his second kidney transplant. Since we came here we try our best live here legally by extending our visa as at when due. But since last year it's been difficult getting our visas extended because FRRO have been indirectly refusing us visa for reasons I do not understand. Last time they never came for verification after many promises and eventually covid came and our visa application got stucked there in FRRO office in Delhi.
I have applied again but this time they keep closing our application. First reason for closing our application was an untrue story that they had visited my apartment but didn't find us around. But when I visited Noida visa office I was told that they did not send for my verification and that they don't know anything. Noida visa office told me they do not have right to process visa that I should apply again through Delhi frro which I did,and again our application has been closed. After the first closure of our application I went to Delhi FRRO office to complain but the officer gave me attitude and asked me to go back to Noida frro. But Noida FRRO has already told me to apply through Delhi. I don't know what's going. I need help because I have not been able to receive money from my country as a result of lack of valid resident permit. We haven't been to pay rent, buy medicines and other essentials. We have been borrowing. And now people have refused to lend us money. I need help.
