We are residing in Arasakulam village,Kariyapatti (Tk),Virudhunagar Dt and Here we are doing agriculture in my locality own Patta Land,In this juncture the Block Development Officer, Kariyapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District, Tamil Nadu has issued work order to lay a road in the private patta lands. As per the revenue records there is no such pathways are connecting between any villages proposed as mentioned in the work order. However, Block Development Officer along with the Panchayat President and Union Chairman has planned to swindle the funds of Central Government in the name of pavement of new road by using the funds of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. However, they are not following the rules and regulations prescribed in the above scheme. As per the rules of MGNREG scheme any works shall perform, by man power. Instead of using physical power the said corrupted officials were using machines like Tractors and JCBs are invoving in the process of laying the road.
The above Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee is the scheme which is established for given employment to the daily wages workers. But the erring officials are joining hands with the politicians and misusing the scheme is absolute violation of the scheme and also against object of the rules. The Block Development Officer, Kariyapatti Taluk, Viruthunagar District has issued work order through his proceedings in Na.ka.B3/1641/2021 dated 11.12.2021 for Formation of single WBM Road, even without obtaining the proper technical order from the District Rural Development Authority. More over the erring officials are not following the conditions imposed in the scheme for completing the work.
Hence, in order to protect from swindling the Central Government Fund under MGNREG, I request you to take action against the Block Development Officer, Kariyapatti Taluk, Viruthunagar District and other officials who are responsible for the misappropriation

We have complained to toll free numbers so many times. Though some people came and visited once, no action was taken at all. SASTRA University is partnering up with TCS-iON centres and has planned to conduct a Hybrid mode exams in which questions will be delivered through computers before the students and the students have to write the answers in an answer sheet provided at the test centres which is scheduled to commence from 18th of January. The university also announced that those students who are unable or unwilling to attend the Hybrid mode can take up those exams along with the next semester's final exams, but this choice is not preferred by the students since it is not possible to write 10 to 12 exams stacked up in a row. So students were indirectly forced to choose for hybrid mode exams. The name "HYBRID" is just to avoid attention from the government because it is basically offline exams conducted in centres across TamilNadu.
When the university announced about this method a lot of opposition was put up in twitter by the students regarding the safety and the distance of the test centres from the student's residence for which our university assured that several steps are being taken to make sure that the test centres would be within a commutable distance from the student's residence.But when the test centre allotment was released on average the test centres were 30Kms away from all the student's residence.
Sastra university also announced that various precautions would be followed in the test centres to avoid covid-19 infection, I assume there will be a temperature check before entering the test centre for all the students appearing for the exam but it is well known that any potential individual can carry and spread covid-19 virus without showing any changes on their body temperature but our university completely ignored this fact.
Since many students cannot afford their own transportation to travel to the allotted test centres they are forced to use public transportation which is not to be preferred during this pandemic time as there is a high risk of covid-19 infection while using public transports. Sure pretty much everything is getting to a much normal situation and most of the people have started to go out but that is their own action and if something tends to happen they themselves are responsible but its not the same in this case our University is forcing us to come out of our home, If any student gets infected by covid-19 while they travel to attend their exams or gets infected on the test centre our university is not responsible for it. ideally our university should have released a statement saying that if something tends to happen to the student the university would be responsible for it but they did not make that clear. Also the university never asked for the parent's consent on whether they are willing to allow their children to travel and attend their exams.
Our university is gambling on its own student's health and life, we tried showing our opposition through twitter and through emails but our University's Vice Chancellor is blocking every person who is voicing their concerns and difficulties on twitter and not even acknowledging the emails written by the parents to the university.
I am writing this as a last ray of hope thinking that it would make a change so please help us. Please check out #StopHybridExamsInSastra on Twitter where almost all of the students have mentioned their issues.
