CODEC Error in Windows Media,

Hi Team,
I have purchased a preinstalled windows 10 Dell laptop one month ago.
Currently i am receiving bellow error.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the required video codec is not installed on your computer.

Windows Defects

I purchased microsoft windows 10. Time and again it's getting corrupted. I had raised ticket with Microsoft's. Agent look into the issue and reinstall windows 10, but unfortunately it can not open my pc since's very pathetic the way I am dealing with the very bad system problem involving windows 10. They say it's old version , not getting updates , causing all the problems . My question is why the old version of windows 10 was offered when I have purchased it and not even a year has passed by since it's buying and has warranty coverage. It's a defective products sold to me.

Dear customer care.
My name is Aashish Thusu. I have purchased a lenova laptop. On which windows 10 home edition was installed. I upgraded it to windows 10 professional edition (purchased). For your reference, I am (purchased orders) attaching the relevant documents. After 4 months, hard disk drive of the laptop crashed.
The lennova has agreed to replace the hard disk, but has declined to reinstall the operating system ( windows 10 home edition) and the system drivers for the laptop. Due to which my work is suffering.
I therefore request you to please provide help me in the following ways, by answering queries.
