Finance Charges

Hidden Charges on HDFC Credit Card

Unfortunately i am a hdfc credit card holder. i have been holding it for more than one year by now and i have not earned any single rupee benefit out of this card. Instead i lost my hard earned money in the form of finance charges.
The amount shown under a/c details is very much misleading especially the 'Minimum Due' amount. I have made payment as per the minimum due but the bank have charged interest for late payment in my next month statement. This has happended many times. Then i cant understand what is the need for this bullshit Min Due. I have not been explained by any hdfc authorities regarding these kind of purposefull misleading technical terms when i took this card or there after. While in case of other bank credit cards either its clearly mentioned with understandable wordings in their site or their authorities would explain and make us understand. This card is a complete waste as i have not earned any cash back on any of my spendings even in huge sum.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH PROCEDURES TO GET RID OFF THIS CARD & ESCAPE FROM THIS KIND OF CHEATERS..

Regarding deduction of amount

request for waiver amount

Dear sir/madom,

My name is sajitha ratheesh,this is to inform you that my waiver amount Rs.3284.75.Am using sb account,but it was salary account before 1 year.i didn't used as 1 year,now am using the same account as salary account fro new company,also i given the request letter for change my sb account to salary account near to the branch.am keeping above Rs.10000 in my same account with the instruction of your customer care people. but in this month 03/03/2012 the bank will again charged rs.3284.75 to 5 time from my account in same day without any other information.i given my mobile number and mail id.so these people are not responsibility take for the customers.Am very believing the services of hdfc bank. so kindly waiver the same amount to the same hdfc bank account(sajitha ratheesh,00201050156640,ravipuram branch,kochi)

HDFC.. You guys can never understand anyone's world

I had a transaction via HDFC ATM for mobile recharge worth 350 INR on 31st December 2011. I havn't got any balance in my mobile till date nor my money got refunded. I have been following up with Vodafone and HDFC for my 350 Rs. till now. This bank does not really shit about their customers. Each time they just buy time and disappoint you. Now. the situation is Vodafone says to have a talk with HDFC folks and same goes when you ask HDFC. This is the pathetic service I ever experienced. I am switching my account to Axis now and really do not want my savings account or credi card with this bank. The got worse customer care team and pathetic sevice for their customers. Shame on you guys !!!

dear sir,
today on 8/02/2012, i went to HDFC atm 3045 gitti khadan nagpur to withdraw cash with help of my sbi atm-cum-debit card of SBI account no.--11281053108. cash was not dispensed and message came '''sorry unable to process temporally and slip was also not printed. i again went to sbi atm machine and withdraw money rs 7000 and found atm slip. when i saw balance in slip i was surprised that balance was much less. when i checked my account on net banking, i became surprised to see ''ATM WDL OF Rs 7000 from ATM 3045 HDFC LTD NAGPUR OFF SITMAIN''
therefore i request you to reverse the amount Rs. 7000 which i did not get from HDFC ATM MACHINE gitti khadan nagpur but debited.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT PARADIP BRANCH(1818)-ODISHA

I would like to give some comment regarding HDFC bank customer service at paradip(1818),odisha.On 26th December 2011 i was submit my required document for open a salary and reimbursement account. Mr. Anil kumar sahu,personal banker of pradip branch told me that it takes 4-7 days to receive your A/c no. and ATM card
After 7 days i was call to paradip branch and ask for my A/c no.Then Mr. Anil told me it takes 4 days more.Like this i really upset after call so many times.Even also last month i met with Mr. Anil six times and call in his mobile(9938400595)/land line so many times.If i call in mobile he didn't receive and if i call in land line other guy told me Mr. Anil is busy,call afternoon.

HDFC Credit card Collection Call Complaints

I got a call from the collection team at around 10:00 AM about my
payment on 16 Jan 2012 when i was travelling to my ofice by train and have told that customer care lady tht can u plz call later she was like Madam even we are busy and all nonsense and was not allowing me to speak at all..i have launched complaint against her for which i hav recvd call frm hdfc CC they hav told me its her duty bt Is yelling on customer is her duty..???? and hav informed them will do the payment on so n so date..

Still tht lady name sujata no. are 22-42044700, 22-61396300, 2261396900 keep on calling.,.. tell me the date hav told her hav informed earlier don call me she gav to anothr lady name Jenny a very rudeeeeee n ruthless lady don hav manners how to speak she was like i will not listen to anythg..i was being trying to inform her tht their is an sms with me tht my due is on 1st of Feb stil this lady is like we don knw anythg tht sms is not for u whereas the sms was from HDFC bank..n evn i m ready to do the payment but this behaviour and nature of calls frightens me a lot for the payment...I hav complint abt them still no reaction..and the keep on calg continuously and keep on arguig..n not even alowg us to speak..Please tell me where to lodge complaint against these people..

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Here is a grievance with a hope that someone may really think of resolving it.

I made a mistake by thinking that HDFC would be an ideal institution to bank with . Considering this I applied for a personal Loan with reference no 20513488 .

Unfortunately the HDFC Bank , Rajouri Garden branch called me , the caller Ms. Sharada @9968075195 , convinced me that good customer service would be provided , The documents were picked up on Monday Jan 9, 2012 by a sales executive Mr. Sunil Kumar Sharma . This executive is laid back and believes that he doesnt have a duty towards his customers.He does not respond to calls and crisply lets me know its none of his business whether I am troubled or not.

Coming back to Ms. Sharada , she had been informed that I stay alone in a single rented apartment an am working with Internal Audit Services with PwC and hence travelling . She had not told me that I need to be there for the verification .

On being told I took a half day and rushed back home continuously calling verification cell, sharada and sunil to send someone for verification , however in vain .

I was a management Trainee with HDFC Homeloans , Pune and had a great belief in the organization .

I am disillusioned now. it has been over 7 working days with no response. The Staff is ill mannered and not bothered.

Not expected from an institution of your esteem .

Just need some quick action if possible. Below is the trail mail sent to loan support and yet another instance of no support.

An aggrieved potential customer is a huge threat... a word of mouth of the services is already spreading across................. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!

ENHANCEMENT OF HOME LOAN

I had submitted all the required papers to the representative on 23.11.2011 for enhancement of loan A/c. No.588300975 despite
several telephone call and email to branch manger till date no one
is informing me the position of loan sanctioned to me. They are
not responding properly nor passing the loan although the date for
the Registry of the House has been expired.

I request you to look in to the matter. Previous loan was passed
from the Bank of Vaishali Branch (Ghaziabad). I have applied in the
same bank.

Some Representative named Sanjay was calling me on my cell on 16th dec 2012 about my Loan EMI & unfortunately I forgot my mobile at my home desk so very obvious not being answered to that calls, in night same day when i camed at home, i got to see 70 misscalls & blackmailing SMS on my cell, also not even this sanjay started calling to my friends number which I am completely unaware about that, next day i started receiving calls from my friends & reporting me that as got called from HDFC bank, which is completely annoying to me now, I dont know who is Customer in this situtation, either me Customer or Sanjay, & got to know this is how HDFC serves their Customer,I called it as pathetic service.

Next day morning 10:15am I answered Sanjay's Call & i asked a very simple question to him why did you text me which is seems to be blackmailing to me, not even this, infact Sanjay was laughing at me when m asking this question & So simply I asked to sanjay, i can't talk to person like you any more, that really irritating me, let me talk to your Senior, he is not responding at that moment for a minute, & later on i told him call me if you allow me to talk to your senior & then got call again in next 2 minutes & finally a long missbehaving conversation from sanjay,then I spoke to his senior Person who's Name is Pratab from the same branch Kandivali (Mumbai), Pratab is gentle in talk & he understand the situtation & he aggred that what Sanjay did is completely Wrong, & Pending EMI is paid on same day 17th Dec 2012 & before ending call Pratab said we will take some action on Sanjay for sure.

I dont know what action you & your team can take on him, but one thing is clear that I not happy to continue my account in HDFC any more (Dont worry before closing this account I'll pay every single penny which I took from HDFC as LOAN) & Not even this i'll not suggest to anyone to prefer HDFC bank for Banking.
because I dont know is their a tracking system to track such pathetic misbehaving Executives like Sanjay. & their are more chances to have such kind of uneducated & illitrate peoples working in your HDFC Bank to serve worst Costomer care experience.
If possible I would like to share this worst experience over Web with everyone (I am ready to do SEO to get listed in top list of HDFC search, so max. people will come to know about this.)
Its really hurts because
I am being paying EMI's since from last more than one year. (Never had experience worst than this)
I am Not happy at all.

Despite of several time calls on customer care no 41514332 and 41444102, I am unable to resolve the issue but now Ms narita told me that they are not in position to help me out but suggest me to draft an email to customerservices [dot] card [at] hdfcbank [dot] com to get help, my 100% thanks to him.

Now come to the point,

I am having a debit card in the name of hari kishan in hdfc bank more than two years and have no issue till date , I also keep 2 to 5 lacs in my account but seeing the good account your credit card sales representative call me to make a credit card with a limit of Rs 1.50 lacs , I denied that I don't beleive in credit card , I am always using debit card and having 2 icici bank debit card and 1 for hdfc bank debit card against my savings accounts, but any how they are giving more attractive shcemes and discounts etc and convince me to sell the credit card.

I receive the card but not swap a single transaction from it

however a policy has been sold by hdfc on this card on an installment of rs 350/- approx p.m and debiting every month and charged interest and late payment charges for the same

till date I am not received the policy as well , but the total outstanding shows Rs 8000/- approx and Rs 1300/ approx ,has been debited from my savings accounts. while the total premium of the policy was Rs 4000/- approx

Now the position is this that I can not operate My account which was good in your terms that's why you send the pre approved credit card with the limit of Rs 1.50 lacs .

Hence you are requested to please see the matter and Nil My credit card balance, if you wish i will send back to you the same, however if u insist me to take the policy than please send the policy with complete details and than I will pay the original amount of policy when you will waived off all interest and late payment charges

If I be the defaulter than why I not swap entire amount of Rs 1.50 lacs ,till date I am not swaping single time your card because I don't beleive in credit .

unauthorise amount deducted

Dear Sir,
I am Chiranjeevi, employee o Big Bazaar of Tarnaka. I have salary account in Hdfc past 2 years. Now the problem is that they have deducted the amount 800rs from account without any prior intimation.when i asked the bank concerned authorities they said that account is deducted due improper maintenance balance but we have said let see the bank statement it was mentioned salary account.

issue of demand draft pending

Dear Sir,
My dda refund dd of Rs 1,50,000 was misplaced. To get the same issued again, i had submitted all the documents and application to Mr Bhanu Sharma at Kailash Building, KG Marg branch on 30th September. Mr Sharma had asked me to call him up on 011-41699423 by 4th October to get a status on the dd.
I called and there was no responce so assuming that the number was not working, i went to the bank on 11th Oct but Mr Sharma said that the dd is still not ready. At the same time i called up on the landline and it was working! He asked me to come in the evening and to call up and confirm before coming. I reside in Dwarka and work in Gurgaon so you can imagine the pains i have to go through for each visit!
However, as expected, i tried calling up but the number was showing busy/disconnected every time i would call.

I request you to let me know by when can Mr Sharma issue the dd as i am facing financial issues and this un-necessary delay is causing me a lot of stress.
Please revert.

Poor Service

I had given a request to break my FD # ***1600 (Customer Id # 8946253) about a month back at HDFC electronic city Bangalore branch.

The very first day the lady at help desk took the filled form and assured me that the amount will be credited to my account (Acc # ***3862) within three days.

After a week when I visited to branch I was told that I need to submit an ID proof and I was promised that they will process it on the same day.

Again after a week when I visited the branch, A senior guy (ABHIJEET MUKHERJEE, Empl # A9497) told me that the lady at help desk is new to bank, she doesn’t know the procedure. The guy again took the form and assured me that it will be processed on the same day.

Again I got a call from mr. ABHIJEET MUKHERJEE saying that there is an overdraft that you need to close and it’s my mistake, he asked me to visit the branch again. Once I reached the branch I was informed that the OD is in some other branch so they can not close it.

After discussing with senior folks, again mr. ABHIJEET MUKHERJEE took the form and assured me that they will process it on same day.

After few days when I visited the branch, I was told that it would take another 10 days.

And now after days there is no update on the same.

It looks like a story, it’s how HDFC is treating customers,
After reading all this, will you please answer my following questions.

1> Do you really return customer’s money deposited in FD.
2> How much time generally it takes.
3> Is there any mechanism in place so customer can be kept informed about their requests and they don’t have to visit the branch again and again.
4> Was it really my mistake that forced me to visit the branch five times. Shouldn’t the personal banker knowing the procedure. Probably it was, I opted for HDFC when I had options for CITY bank and ICICI bank.
5> When can I except the request to be process. Should I wait for a year or so.
6> Can you fire mr. ABHIJEET MUKHERJEE Empl # A9497 for harassing, misguiding customers.

I would be posting this to multiple forums. I'll try my best to let others know about the kind of service HDFC bank proving to its customers.

I have a saving account no 00851140041895 on 30-08-2011 I have gone to Union Bank Of India ATM at Narayan Nagar Ghatkopar (west) to withdraw cash Rs 4000 and I didn't get my cash. And the same amount was minus (-) from my account. so please credit my amount back in my account. It will be a great help if you do this for me and as soon as possible.

I purched a demand draft for Rs 18300 and the receipient did not get it. I did it online. The money has been deducted from my account. Please trace the same with the courier.I am your prferred customer. Pleae treat it urgent. The draft was sent on August 26 most probably.

About two years ago, my distant relatives having a flourishing business at a place at Tanda Urmar, Distt. Hoshiarpur, Pb. and despite fulfillment of all formalities and genuineness, the loan was declined only because the firm belongs to my relatives and I am a Judicial officer. This fact came to my knowledge only now after about two years when I went to my native place on account of death of my cousin brother. I could not understand this logic and reason please explain.

My name is "saurabh" I go to the hdfc bank for open a saving bank a/c but a bank worker said to me that " you have first name but not last name so we can't open ur a/c.

I had booked a ticket from IRCTC.CO.IN on 4th August'2011 from Aligrah to New delhi. The amount of Rs. 326/- was debited from my account but ticket had not been issued. please check and credit back into my account.

Unfair Charges on Salaried A/C

Hello, I am your precious customer of your reputed MNC Bank. I want to state that I Siddharth Chadha is having salaried bank A/C in your bank. My Salaried A/C No.:12021130003120 in HDFC Galeria, Gurgaon Branch. I am very disappointed after i know that around Rs 1500/- was deducted from my Salaried A/C because of low balance. But it has been told to me that in my Salaried A/C no minimum balance is required. My previous company has opened a salary A/C at your DLF ,Galeria,SG-5-6, Gurgaon. With zero balance and no minimum balance requirement is compulsory in this A/C. But due to some reasons my salary is not credited in this A/C and i am in my process of getting my salary to get credited in this same A/C from my current employer. Because they option to open new A/C or with old one. I am great faith in this bank that's why i owns other financial products of yours like Mutual Fund of HDFC Top 200 and HDFC Equity. And with above support no intimation has been given to me ,that your A/C will be charged for not maintaining sufficient balance. This is not at all acceptable from your side. I maintain a savings bank at HDFc BANK bearing the account no-04511610004173 and went to Central Bank Of India
ATM of HINJEWADIA on 31/07/2011 to withdraw cash Rs 2500 and the remark came'' sorry unable to process". But to my utter surprise I saw that my account was debited erroneously with a reference no -678124146009 but cash was not dispensed with. On that very day I went to PNB ATM to withdraw same amount but that was successful with a ref no-3821. Now I request to creditt Rs2500 erroneously debited with a ref no 678124146009 through certral bank of india ATM as early as possible
