Airtel IPTV - pathetic customer service

This is to bring to the Forum's notice and Airtel that we have serious problems being an Airtel iptv Customer.

On 9th June 2013, a request was made to Airtel (No. 33884700) regarding upgradation of our iptv/broadband plan so that more channels will be available to us (142 as against to 107 in current plan).

A series of pains taking phone calls were made to Airtel Customer service (Request Nos. 34503900, 34546872, 34685516, 34732630, 35229338 and 35525678). On several occasions, the Floor Manager on duty was also spoken to. All of them had listened to our concern however no action was taken to upgrade the plan. Few callbacks were received that clearly indicate the disconnect between customer service and tech support at Airtel. As per the Customer service, the plan has been upgraded and as per the tech support, upgradation is not done and they need a new request. But Customer service doesnt raise a new request for upgradation as per their records it is upgraded.

Only Airtel has the shameless approach and audacity to send an update at the end of month that I have been charged as per the New bill plan.The ironicalpart is that I am still to receive the bill.

The only option left for me is to approach some Forum like this for getting the needful done. Else I shall be forced to take up the matter with Consumer Courts.

3000086027 improper services and unfair trade practice by Airtel

I bought a AIRTEL DTH connection 2 years back,but got fed up of its services in a short time.The value added services got activated by itself without any customer request,and when the request for their deactivation was made,the amount would automatically deduct from my account balance.When numerous complaints were made to the company in this regard through its so-called customer service centres,it bore no fruit.And finally i opted to step back by not recharging further and got another DTH connection of a different company.Then the company started making frantic calls and urged me to reactivate the connection and lured me with its special offers.They assured me of better services in future with prompt services.After their numerous requests,I reactivated the acc. id 3000086027 with Rs.704 including a reactivation fee of Rs.20 on 03-06-2013,but as we say that ''old habits die hard''.,the company started showing its colours once again and i was facing the TV screen once again with its '''no signal'' message flashing on it in bold.Then I started calling the customer care[which actually does;nt care for the customer] which continuously spoke its message of inconvenience regretted,but actually did;nt take any measures to rectify this.And one more thing that i;m not able to understand is that when we are paying a monthly service amount as recharge,then why we are forced to pay Rs.250 everytime as visit charges to their so-called technicians who actually are of no use.So,friends I am disconnecting it finally with a forced option to move to the consumer forum for deficiency in its services and unfair trade practice adopted and would like to advise everybody not to take an aAIRTEL DTH connection fo their better even if given for free.

Symptomatic of "INDIA"?

The anattended complaints about Airtel, is a phenomena that puts INDIA back down the list of aspiring countries wanting to be a world power. Face it. It is not only Airtel that lets India down. Who, apart from Anna Hazare and/or Arvind Khegriwal even care.
Airtel has our money, but we don't get the service that we paid for. Their stomachs are full, their job "secure", why should they be concerned for anyone else? This is India. Full of religion but no reality. No spiritual power to say YES to what is good and NO to what is bad.
Now can you tell me how to migrate from Airtel to Vodaphone?

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV

My TV keeps saying no signal. All connections to the TV are proper. There are no obstructions to the dish and there are no adverse weather conditions either.
I am facing this problem from August till date and I have had 8 visits from their so called "engineers" who seem to fix temporarily but within a few days or hours and again we face the same issue.

The customer service agent informed me that in September itself I have called them 30 times. The details regarding the number of calls and visits has been confirmed to be my their executive Raj Dhangar on 11/10/12 at 17:30.
He even agreed and told me to go to a consumer court.
When I asked him to speak to a manager he initially told me it’s not possible, followed by it will take 2 hrs. When I said I’d wait, he eventually hung up on me.

Airtel-Worst service Provider

I had made a complain in regards to ordering an remote.Reference number-23165733 on 05 September 2012 wherein i was promised a remote would be delivered within 24 hours by the service engineer.Again i filed a complain after speaking to the airtel supervisors on 11 September-Reference-23493286....wherein i was promised a remote the next day and was told that action would be taken against the service engineer for not complying with the early order.Till date no remote has been delivered to me.I wonder what service you provide to your customers?Every complain we make we get the ready made answer saying that we are sorry for the inconvenience caused and we promise that our service engineer will call on you at this particular time tomorrow.Your supervisor provided me with 2 local mobile numbers which are always switched off!I feel that due to this deficiency in service airtel is likely to lose customers as they take in undergraduate boys as their service engineers who lack the basic communication skills and no nothing except to fix the dish antenna.I hope i get a favourable reply within 24 hours failing which i shall approach the consumer court for deficiency in service.Ever since this Email I have received 5 more emails promising that the remote will be delivered shortly but till today 16-09-12 i have not heard from the service engineer.I would like to inform all future DTH customers to never take an airtel DTH connection as i am facing this problem of no customer service for the last years.

please avoid purchasing airtel DTH. Whenever the service is added the service is prompt but if you wish to remove a service then you will face a constant technical problem..... Airtel is a big no no.... i am changing over to .... fed up in less than 6 months

Airtel Digital TV Complaint Box Not Working: Cust ID :3008829964

Dear Sir,

I have brought the Airtel Digital TV HD recorder 21/09/2011 and currently it is in warranty also. Now the digital box is not working and I have raised the compliant in Airtel Customer Care. After the long follow-up the service person came and confirmed that there is a problem in the box and went away.

Again the long follow- up, Airtel service person came with another old box for replacement instead of NEW box. We brought new box and if any problem in the box airtel is replacing with OLD BOX. What is logic behind this?
My box is still warranty and it is new box, how you can change to old box instead of servicing the box.

I request you to response my query and solve my problem. Airtel taking the daily burning money even it is not working.
Incase no response from Airtel Nodal Officer, I will file a complaint in Consumer Court against this.

No action has been taken by airtel DTH team for more than 10 day

I have a digital TV connection at my place and my customer ID is 3010318523. I am facing problem with the signal since 6th June, 2012 and have been placing my complaints with airtel since then (almost once every day), but no action has been taken yet.
These are the complaint numbers which were assigned to me:

1) 19828292 - 16th June, 2012
2) 19719134 - 13th June, 2012
3) 19678975 - 12th June, 2012
4) 19504351 - 7th June, 2012
5) 19503384 - 7th June, 2012
6) 19479039 - 6th June, 2012

NO ACTION has been taken by airtel for these complaints and my connection status is still the same since, 6th June, 2012. So, far I have received only one engineer visit (7th June, 2012) that too he did not fix the problem and promised me that he will get it fixed the next day. Since, then no engineer has visited my place to fix it. This whole thing has caused me lot of mental agony as I call customer care almost 4 times in a day and end up with no action and false promises.
I have talked to rani yesterday (interaction ID: 289334992) and she promised me the same thing, but no action has been taken yet. I had once talked to rajendran, veralaxmi too and my problem is not yet fixed.
There are other interaction IDs available with me on which no action has been taken and only false promises are made (interaction ID: 288812829, 80188657, 288942685, etc.). I have the whole list of interaction Ids, compalint numbers and representatives names. I am not able to understand that why is airtel just not fixing my issue.
I request you guys to fix the problem ASAP and give me some concrete ETA when the problem will be resolved. If it cannot be resolved then please stop charging me and revert the whole money into my bank account (Service charges + setup box charges).

No issue solve I have been Emailing and putting massages to Airtel till from 5 June 2012. My services terminated /barred by airtel with no reason 'AIRTEL A ASSOCIATION OF SCAM'. Shall be sued for false and misleading information. malpractices and illegal billing continue.
Given all poor of payment deposited by me, I am still receiving Telephone calls ( Mandeep singh ph No. 91-124-4997400 3;16PM on 11 june 2012) from Airtel, to deposit the pending bill,

This is Vikrant Swaroop Sahu, I applied for IPTV connection on 14/07/2011, it was planned on 17th to install but Aitrel was not able to install, so I asked not to install,

Then I spoke to Mr. Shiv ( B2B employee,9717197282 who has filled the application form and collected the cash ) that refund my money he said that I will return and after 4 months he said that you have to go through Airtel customer care, Then I spoke to airtel customer care they given me request no, I forget the no. and next day I received a call from airlet that your money will be refund by B2B and they gave me B2B head no. Mr.Devendar( 9582676872). I spoken to him he said that with in 25 days you will receive the check after 25 days again I call him so many times but he didn’t pick phone so again I call to customer care they again register the complaint and given me complaint no. 12126140 and said your payment will be send with in 20 days but again not received then again call to customer care they again given me complaint no.12514680 ( 4th March -12) and said very soon you will get your payment, but same as earlier. Yesterday again I called to customer care then he said that our back team has closed the complaint as they didn’t find any such recard. Since it has been long time so kindly resolve the issue, with in one week. Now I m giving time to Airtel to resolve the issue since airtel has given the time to me so many times.

Airtel DTH does not work after 1 week of fresh connection

Hi I had taken connection week ago.Paid Rs 3000 and he(Dealer -Santosh) said,2 months free and later it will be charged.It was working fine for 5 days.Later all channesl blocked.Called customer care and they said will send some technician.Later Santosh not picking up any calls and nothing working.
It's look very horrible service from Airtel DTH people.

At the time of installation the device promised at the time of booking was not there. On inquiry I was promised to replay the bying time record play to reconfirm. But the call is awaited and installation is delayed.

Complaint plus Connection termination request

Its been an awful experience since the day I applied for AIRTEL IP TV SERVICES and I've gone through worst ever service delivery one after another.

My connection is not working since one and half month (5314872), and its been a month I requested for connection termination (due to non service) which is also not yet processed (5368358).

Above all l I am getting calls for non payment of bills during the period services were down which is highly unacceptable.

I've posted complaints in all ways - to costumer care and to nodal officers as well but not getting any response as well as resolution.

hence need an immediate solution for this.

Good evening,
This is to inform you that I am disgusted with the services of Airtel IPTV, let
me tell you what has happened till date and the next step is consumer court if
this issue is not resolved.
Being an existing customer of Airtel since the days before Airtel (i.e.
with JTM) for my mobile connections, I took Airtel broadband landline as well.
I was called by Airtel when IPTV was launched in Bangalore and even when people
told me that Airtel services were the worse I proudly stated my long
association with the brand and decided to take the Airtel IPTV connection.
I requested for an executive to visit me and check my setup for
compatibility,around the mid Sept.an executive named Suresh Babu 09916702126
visited me and checked my modem and wifi setup and said it was compatible. I
then filled up the application form (form no.281425) was told to made out a
cheque for Rs.999/- and was told I would hear from the service team in a few
days.
A week later I got a call from the service person Anand 09060925459 who tells
me that my modem and wifi setup is not compatible and I had to pay Rs.2500/-
for another modem and set top box. He said there was no point in coming to my
house as there was nothing he could do.
I asked for his manager's number and called him, Mr. Latish 09741101862, I told
him that I was given wrong information and if not resolved, I was going to go
to customer court. This man tells me, you can go to customer court if you wish
thats your problem. Next I spoke to the service manager Santosh 9686656016. He said he will check and get back to me in 5 mins, now he avoids my cals!!!
I then called Airtel to make a complain and was given a complaint no.4464736, I
received a call from an Airtel person who spoke to the sales person Suresh Babu
and confirmed that I was given information saying my modem and wifi setup was
compatible as taught to him by his team leader. The Airtel person took the team
leader's ph. no. and tried to reach him but couldnt. HE informed me of the same
and told he he was escalating the issue and gave me a new complaint no.
4515046.
Now when I check on the complaint numbers, both are listed closed and resolved
by the back end team..........WHAT THE HELL !!!!
My issue is still not resolved and when ever I call to check on the status they
drop my call..............I AM FED UP!!!
I want my money back, hell with your IPTV and to hell with AIRTEL, once I get
my money back I am cancelling my landline and mobile connections. You have
proven what people are saying about your services, they are the worse in
India.
If I dont get a response to this mail, I will go to consumer court and get
justice from there.

Airtel DTH service charges 400 rs to visit you?

I just called 12150 and told them that I'm unable to switch on my setup box. they asked if I connected properly, I said yes and then they said if I log complaint it will cost 100 rs and if adapter is gone its 400 rupees. I'm just 7 month done with Airtel DTH. I'm going to widthdraw my Airtel Landline, DTH, mobile etc if airtel guys are not coming with a solution. this is cheating and they are not even not ready to hold my balance even when I said I'm unable to switch on the system!!

Pathetic service by airtel IPTV

I am holding the broadband and IPTV connection of airtel. I had planned to construct my house hence requsted to shift my broadband and IPTV connection to new location. I registered the complaint on around 20th July on the 121. They replied that time for shifting is 72 hrs but due to server upgradation they will take 22 days and i need to pay Rs300 for the shifting charge. But till to yesterday nobody has even bothered to call and visit my house. Yesterday i lodged the complaint again on 121 again and they said that within 24 hrs our engineer will visit. But till now nobody has even tried to pick a call and over that i had received the bill of around Rs1100/- to pay for the connection which i am not using from around an month. This is ridiculous and pathetic service on the part of Airtel. A very very casual approach towards the customers. Request you to please take the necessary measures to shift my connection asap to the new location.

IPTV Fraud billing Charges against 01141076498

As my plan is Rs 999. Bill should contain Rs 999 and the taxes but it shows Rs 1308. As I have already lodged the complaint against calls charges. On first day Airtel engineer has made all of the calls and secondly apart from that I have not made any calls. I have already paid Rs 1750 for installation of IPTV on the first buy now why you are showing the taxes on that. It is not part of payment then why you are charging the taxes. It was a IPTV box not a service. Please exclude call charges and tax on IPTV. Now bill should be Rs 999 and service charges. Now it will be Rs 1102. Due date of my bill is 17th August 2011. Please resolve my query else I will not pay anything and take the legal action on you.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is to inform you that my Airtel landline Rs.999/-plan (num-01145356562) and so eventually my Wifi internet connection is not working from past four days evening. The representative in the morning promised me it would be serviced within 17:35 and hence I waited without going out or doing any other work as this is my major priority till 5:35 and when no one ever called me I had again called up when another representative informed me that no technical engineer had addressed the case and that he will re-address it into high priority and again no one called me and hence when I called up at 20:00, a rude representative answered and he again gave me the same answer and again said he will put it in high priority. Remember this number is toll free only to airtel am calling them from my vodafone as my Airtel phone is dead. All the cost i took and all the pain of not going anywhere on a sunday, my official work getting spoilt and this rude representative said he cant take it up and when i asked him to transfer to his manager he cut the call. When again I called yet another time, he said manager is busy. This is the heights. Am a team leader in a very high tech networking company and the reasons they give are crap (literally)

Please get this complaint taken in high priority.

P.S Just remember a customer care representative should be concerned about the customer and his complaints. If we do not pay bill on the concerned date you cut the internet connection and this is what customers get back right. Awesome.

Am not paying a single penny if this is not taken care in next 6 working hours.

This has been ridiculous, the company all of sudden can't behave so irresponsible.

Pathetic Service standards in IPTV

I have Airtel IPTV connection in Noida. my telephone no. is 0120-4248730 the iptv has not been working since the 5th of June 2011 and i have not got any resolution till today which is 14th June 2011. I have been repeatedly calling up airtel and all the time i am assured that someone will come and rectify the problem. I have even spoken to two floor managers at airtel customer care center called Gaurav (on 12th June) and Shashi (on 13th June), both of whom have promised me that my problem will be solved in the next 2 hours and nothing has happened. The technician visited me on the 11th and informed me that some package has not been activated on my connection. the floor manager also told me the same thing. but what nobody has been able to do is get the package started. I am tired of calling up the customer center everyday for about 15 minutes each (which also costs me money) and not getting any results (which causes me frustration). I am very disappointed in airtel and it's pathetic service standard. regards, Sarika

DTH Not Working

I have complained on 17th may 2011. customer id is 3000021004. till now my complains not solved. I think Airtel is now earned more thats why they are not taking any serious action on my complaint. For last four days i am complaining regulerly but no responce from Airtel. I thing i have to switch to other dth operator. I am surprised no action taken till date.

Broadband & IPTV Complaint

Airtel Broadband/Wi-fi/ IPTV Customer Care Department, It is with utmost frustation that I write this mail, I have been struggling to get my Wi-fi & IPTV problem attended for the last 2 months. My Wi-fi signal is very weak. The IPTV has been contnuously hanging. The remote does not work The set top box doesn’t take remote signals, even the buttons on the set top box doesn’t work. Most of time you cannot switch it off. It has been horrible experience viewing TV, it hangs contnuously. There are consistent message 'No signal' & 'WAN port disconnected'. We have to repeatedly switch off & switch on the modem & set top box. We cannot watch one program without these interruptions. I have lodged several complaints but there has been no improvement. The latest being on 18th May 2011 & 23rd May 2011 bearing Request No. 46403626 and 46403412 respectively. I was told to unplug all the modem connections and reconnect but the problem did not get resolved. Then I was told that IP address is put under observation and finally was informed that IP address has been changed but nothing improved, the problem remained as it is. I was also promised that an Engineer will visit my place but till date no one has visited and attended to the problem. When I contacted again I was given a Cell no. 8826291682 of one Mr Mayank and was asked to contact him. I called him and he again promised to visit my place but nothing happened. Since then I have been continuously calling and this gentleman has not even picked up my phone. I left several messages as well. He doesn't have even basic courtesy to call back or respond to my messages. I have been subsequently called the Landline Complaint no. 18001030121 & 12150 and both the times after explaining the problem and holding for about 30 minutes, the call got disconnected and then it has been a harrowing experience to reconnect. I have been a loyal Airtel for Customer for more than 10 years and I carry the following Airtel connections being used by me and my family: 01244089412 9810088435 9818688435 9971888453 9971108435 9810188435 9810288435 Is this Customer Service that Airtel promises and brand advertises. I am myself a professional working in the ICT Industry and I very well know what standard does airtel set for its partners. I am sorry to say but this is actually opposite. With this harrowing and frustrating experience, airtel Braodband & IPTV connection has become of mental harrassment rather than an information & entertaiment source.
