I booked hotel through agoda website in goa. I recieved boooking confirmation reciept from the agoda, 3 days before just to confirm get assure about the booking called the hotel as per the no. mentioned on the reciept, I was completely shocked to hear that there is no such booking also the owner said that there is no such collaboration with "AGODA" in terms of bookings, and the owner mentioned that many of such customer has faced the issue in past and on arrival they had to move to some other location as there is no such tie up with "AGODA".....

ITs too serious issue as we as customer book and rely on the booking through the site...

also there is no customer service no. available in India where we can call and get in touch with the customer service the issue mentioned in the website customer service is of no use...

THis is a scam like of thing... Luckily i called the hotel and cross checked, and got to know about this....

I have booked a hotel stay in pondicherry, to my surprise the hotel was closed after reaching the location.
Ohh my god I paid 2,035/- for a night stay and that ruined our day.

Called Agoda and emailed, no response to any of the ways. Very strange to see a big website doesn’t have any ways to contact support team at all.

Will I get my lost money back?

Its highly unprofessional and disappointing to see such a huge brand such as Agoda charging customers and then denying the booking confirmation.
Its not the first time this is happening, its a repeated trend by your online portal, i request you to please process my refund for the hotel booking which i made on 27th December, 2021.

If need be, i will file a complaint through consumer forum as this is unacceptable, its been more than 2 days now and i haven’t received my refund for the booking which got cancelled by your end. Its absolutely disheartening to see there is no agoda agent to assist me either.

I booked hotel in jaiselmer . Booking was confirmed but owner of property rejected booking. He say that he didn't have booking. My Payment of 3399 rupees was deducted . I had to book another hotel. Please refund my payment otherwise i will go to court against agoda. The property owner contact number that was in booking confirmation was wrong. I called many time but there was not any response.. Please refund my payment.

I made a booking in Udaipur. The amount was deducted from my debit card and the receipt was also generated but on reaching the hotel, the owner refused of having any booking confirmation. I need refund in my account Asap.

i need the same so that can claim from Office.

We booked for a holiday package at an expensive primer property - The Serai in Karnataka. By mistake the booking was done a month ahead. It was a non-refund deal and once we realised the mistake we tried to contact Agoda- with in 10 minutes of confirmation.
With no contact number in India or customer care ID, the hotel said they are not responsible and advised us to cancel and 100% refund will be made. To our horror, 100% money is lost.

Finally we got the Hong Kong number (long international calls). We are offered some refund and that too only in to agoda wallet. Our request to change dates is not entertained as well.

Agoda says hotel is asking for punishment fee and hotel says agoda is cutting the refund. No resolution, no ownership no business ethics.

I do not know how Government allows such a business with no resolution mechanism in India with no representative here.

And by the way, the booking date is 45 days away and still they want to take away most of the payment and live off our money and deny refund.

Ugly business. Avoid Agoda if you don’t want to lose the money.

Hello I have tried to make a flight booking on Agoda from Kochi to Goa and return tickets too on 12 Dec 2021 ( for 21 Dec and 25 Dec booking). While booking it took 1-2 min and then showed a message that booking is not confirmed at this time. I did not receive any booking ID, however the amount is charged on my Debit Card.
The amount is INR 14231/- Please check the transaction ASAP and refund the amount on my debit card. Appreciate your quick response.

Hotel refused confirmed reservation
I had made an online transfer of ₹10220 through Agoda towards the Hotel Dove, Hyderabad for 26.11.2021 booking for 8 rooms.
When we wanted to check in the hotel guy refused to give us the rooms and I was forced to pay to him ₹10220 again.
Request refund of₹10220 immediately.
Request you also not to allow such inconvenience to customers at the last minute

today I have booked 3 rooms in Lemon Tree hotel Coimbatore for 23rd to 24 December. the amount was paid through my credit card but there was no booking confirmation after completing the booking. I got the SMS that the amount it has been debited in my account towards room booking charges. I was charged for 3 persons with extra bed & breakfast but the booking confirmation received is only for 2 adults. The 24x7 customer service does not have option to select for such error. There is no face of customer service. Very risky to book!!

On the 3rd of November 2021, I had tried to book a hotel room at Hotel Park Elanza, Numngambakkam, Chennai, via Agoda.

I entered my debit card details, the otp and everything and the money (Rs. 2559) got deducted from my debit card. However, i didn’t not get to the confirmation page, instead it took me back to the payment screen, asking me to select an alternative payment option as it couldn’t take the payment.

Now my money has been deducted but I didn’t not get a confirmation emai or booking id. All your customer care options are so pathetic that they require the booking id to converse further. That is quite absurd and please change the way you treat your customers.

I request you to process a refund of Rs. 2559 immediately. I am done being patient with your customer service and to be frank, it is horrible.

Had booked 2 Rooms in Jaypee Agra for 3 adults and 2 children for 2 nights and paid accordingly but when checked in the hotel was told that the confirmation sent By Agoda is for 4 adults and no children so had to pay extra for a child to the hotel directly inspite of Agoda charging me for the full trip. Sorry to say was very disappointed and is the last time booking through Agoda.

I had booked hotel rooms through Agoda com on 07.10.21. An amount of Rs 5267/- has been deducted from my Debit card while paid through the payment gateway with merchant name- Retail Domestic PT. No booking confirmation has been received and neither my money has been returned by the said merchant / agoda.com. Please do the needful.

I had booked a room for two people at Collection O 650, Gokul Residency, with "agoda.com" for two days (6 Oct to 8 Oct 2021, Booking no. xxxx81685. I had done the full payment in advance while booking.

On day-1, We reached the hotel at the check-in counter, where they asked for an RTPCR report or fully vaccinated certificate at the time of check-in as I had traveled from another state (Vadodara to Kolkata).
My sister has completed both doses of vaccine and I am due for the second dose in the next few days.
However, we both were denied check-in. I requested the hotel manager to at least allow my sister to check in as she is fully vaccinated but they denied it nonetheless.
For the record, there was no guideline mentioned regarding the same while booking the room. I have the screenshot of the booking and also the call recordings of the entire communication.
I requested the receptionist to help us with the accommodation, as we are new to the place. However, I was left stranded at 9 p.m. along with my sister.
We tried many times to connect to the OYO helpline but couldn't.
At last, we didn't get any information about the cancellation and refund.

Again at night, I had tried to call OYO and got connected, there I got the response from the customer support, "Apna dimag lagana chahiye the, google pe check krna chahiye the". This was very rude.
Today (07/Oct/2021) I again called the same hotel Collection O 650 Gokul Residency and requested the cancellation and refund.
He started to repeat the same instruction. And said you can call again on the same number at 11 am, you will connect with right "hotel",
moreover, he also commented that I have called the wrong hotel, when I asked the name of the hotel he started to mumble and didn't share the name of the hotel.
We were there for an interview purpose that's why we booked the room, so everything can go smoothly. But the whole situation was just a mess. I request the OYO team to look into this matter and provide me with the cancellation and refund.
